Funerals |
|
It is a
dreadfully stressful time when someone dies, and all the arrangements you have
to make can leave you in a bit of a spin. If you want the Rector or some other
clergy person to officiate at a funeral, with or without a service in church,
the best thing to do is to contact the undertaker of your choice and let them do
all the phoning, letter writing and negotiation over times and dates. After all,
that’s what they are for. Of course the Rector will appreciate a phone call letting him know what has happened. He will be quite happy if you have a clergy friend or relative whom you would like to take the service, so don’t be embarrassed to ask. At Marshchapel we have space for burials and a plot for the interment of ashes in a beautifully calm and restful setting. At Grainsby we have space for burials and ashes. At North Thoresby we have
very limited space for burials, which we have to reserve for residents of the
parish and for a very few other people. |
